A rule which states that all cameras must stay on one side (180 degrees)
   
    Match on action (match cuts)
multiple shots used to be shown as one action

     Shot reverse shot
 is when a shot goes from shot A to shot B  back to shot A. Continuously switching between the two to show a link between the two 
    Eye-line match
Is a following shot that shows what the character is looking at 

                  Cross cutting 
           Is a following shot that follows what character is looking at, makes cuts smoother the audience expects the cut to happen and is eager to see what happens next/what character sees.
